\ Mary Ann Covone (Carden) Attorney at Law
Mary Ann Covone graduated with honors from The John Marshall Law School in 1991 where she served on the Law Review in 1990-1991. In 1981, she obtained a Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of Missouri - Kansas City Conservatory of Music. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Ms. Covone was an entrepreneur in the field of music, and as a business owner, faced many of the same legal issues for which she currently counsels her clients.
Mary Ann Covone’s current practice is focused on providing counsel to business owners as they confront legal issues in their day-to-day business endeavors. However, she is also an experienced trial lawyer. Ms. Covone won many jury trials and successfully negotiated and settled innumerable cases while representing the City of Chicago, the Village of Rosemont and the Village of Oak Brook. She also has achieved positive results representing clients before the Supreme Court of Illinois and the Illinois Appellate Court.
In her transactional (non-trial) practice, Ms. Covone has guided her clients toward understanding new legislation and counseled them regarding employment issues, contracts, ordinances, zoning amendments, real estate transactions and dispute resolution. Upon request, Ms. Covone will also assist her clients in certain personal matters such as simple estate planning, probate and personal injury claims.
